The Rhody Old Cocks R.F.C. was established in the year 2000 as a vehicle to promote rugby in Rhode Island and Providence Plantations for players age 35 and beyond.

The Rhody Old Cocks R.F.C. is made up of about 100 players and active social members who hail from Rhode Island, Southeastern Massachusetts and Connecticut. Many members played their younger rugby years with Providence R.F.C. or one of the other NERFU league clubs. ROC members represent a wide range of career backgrounds including: Doctors, Lawyers, CPA's, Teachers, Carpenters, Firemen, Policemen, Bankers, Dentists, Physical Therapists, Salesmen, Engineers, as well as a rogue Air Traffic Controller.

The Rhody Old Cocks are proud of the versatility of players. While some guys, out and out, refuse to grow up, they will play where they are needed (ROC loves to turn forwards into backs, just to mess with the opposition), play with pain, and win. In addition, our social ranks are just as intimidating in both physical size, attitude and determination.

ROC members live by a simple code: Play with guts and determination; be kind to children and small animals; and lastly, the ROC motto: " The longer we play, the stiffer we get!" ROC members don't seem to mind - they live for it.
